Oh my gosh, it's been so long since I last posted. My apologies.
I'm afraid it will have to be that way again next week, going to Virginia for Christmas. So to make up for it I will try to post some festive twinkle lights here or there before I leave town.

I stopped in vintage clothing store in Fremont recently and happened upon these items for my flower making.
The flowers below are pressed velvet with little bead like things in the center. I might use some of them in corsages with some ribbon flowers and perhaps crochet leaves as well.



The magenta is a really soft rayon velvet ribbon, the dusty pink ribbon is stretching and I imagine used for underclothing way back when



The gold bead twig things are glass and I have fallen completely in love with them to the point where I'm thinking of going back and buying the rest. I used one of these beauties in the flower I showed you in yesterdays post.

The Mood.

Simple,
quiet,
comfortable,
and pleasant.

Oops.
I started another project, a small one, but yes its another project.
The blame goes to the weather. First it was the snow on Saturday, and then the rain which has not stopped since.
This green yarn wanted to be a small scarf for awhile now, its just taken some time to find the right stitch. I think the right stitch has finally come along and I will show you a picture in the next day or two.


It made me so happy to have Una hanging out with me on the desk, she hasn't done that in a long time.
