Martini's and Yarn.
So yesterday Kpixie had a trunk show in Boston, right on Newberry street in a bistro called In Q. They had yarn for sale, a fashion show, and martini's. A small group of North End knitters met up and had a grand time.
I have to admit the reason I ordered this martini was the name, "The Pretty Martini", it was yummy and got along very well with my aqua melon sock.
Here we are just before the fashion show. The fashion show was great, nice pieces and good details about each piece, plus they let us touch the knitwear.
So here are my purchases.
-Two skeins of Lorn's Laces Sheperd Sock, you know the sock yarn I have in my stash was just not cuttin it so this is going to be my next pair. I think it has to do with color, these are the colors I'm in the mood for right now.
-A skein of Insubordiknit's Threaded Hearts. I have been reading her blog for a while now and loving her yarn so it was really cool to see it in person and to buy a skein to try out. Not completly sure what I'm going to make yet. I love it, its got lovely color, sparkle, and yet it still has a nice natural feel and look to it.
It was really cool to see a good sampling of what Kpixie carries, there were many yarns there that I had been curious about and it was cool to see and touch them. Also got to meet the owners of Kpixie and they were both very nice and helpful. Hopefully they will do this again, so if your interested you might want to get on their mailing list, thats how I found out about it.

Looks like so much fun! I guess I'll have to wait until after the holidays to hear all about it!
Thanks for memorializing that fun event with a photo. I enjoyed the whole thing. Your sock looks very snuggly and happy next to your martini!
