So I ordered a couple of books before my trip to Seattle and they were waiting for me when I got back. I love books, magazines, and blogs that are home design.
I see this move as a way to start fresh with my home. I want my home to be a sanctuary and a place to be inspired.
I don't hate my home now at all, but I really want to make some changes, get rid of a lot, aquire a bit, and have fun in the process.
The first one is Apartment Therapy . Its done in an eight week process and there are a lot of Feng Shui elements which I like.
Home is where the heart is is a beautiful book and not your typical interior design book.
I also recently discovered Ideal Bite, a daily newsletter via email that gives advice and information on green living. I was hesitant at first because you get an email everyday, which has its annoyances, but they keep it short and sweet. Its talks about things that are harmful to you and the enviroment and gives you other options.
Apartment Therapy has a contest on of The Smallest Coolest Apartments 2006. Highly recommend the slidshows of the contestants, very, very cool.

Hi, Mara. Would you mind bringing "Home is Where the Heart Is" on Wednesday night, if it's not too much of a P.I.A.? I'd love to look at it. I'll be bringing along the new Mason*Dixon book. Really a fun read. See you then.
I envy you for knowing you will have a "home" and not a shitbox apartment, and that you have a theme of decoration in mind other than the accumulated bits and bobs picked from the sidewalk trash that I have. Someday, I'd like to have a HOME. I'd like to have a COUCH. And I'd REALLY like to have a WASHER and DRYER. Ahhh, bliss postponed. ;)
