Ms. Marigold.

Ms. Marigold is coming along nicely and since I seem to have come down with a cold , bug, whatever, it will probally get done in the next few days.

So I'm sitting in an old chair, hand caned, and the seat is slowly going. I'll be sitting here typing and, pop, another strand of cane has broken. Darn, my mother made the seat and I'm not sure it can be fixed.

You can fix that.

I hope christine tells you how, rather than just that you can! I'm glad to hear the seat CAN be fixed though :)

You've made lots of progress on ms. marigold. It looks great and I love the color.

I had a rocking chair with a cane seat gifted to me by a neighbor who moved, and a fat friend of mine came over, flung herself into it and that was the end of that! Dammit. Oh well. At this point, the place it occupied is stocked to the gills with books, magazines and movies, so I guess I wasn't meant to keep that chair.

I did not know about Ms. Marigold. I feel out of the
loop(s). Is this the rogue knitting you did instead of working on Starsky? Speaking of which, I was looking through a catalog today and saw a sweater for fall that looks just like Starsky and thought of you and how au current you will be in terms of fashion when it's done!

I am sorry that you aren't feeling well. I do know that there are people out there (by that I don't mean in Seattle, just out in the general world) that can cane, so I think someone would be able to fix the chair for you. We had a client once who did hand caning.
