Saturday

I'm the luckiest kntter.
I'm working, I'm working.
Part time at a flower shop in one of the craziest parts of Seattle and I love it. I know, I know, I can hear you all cracking up. Somewhat unlikely but it sounded fun, they hired me on the spot, and I'm learning.

Just keeping on the flower theme a bit. The knit group I left behind (sigh) in Boston, made me a card and all chipped in and got me a gift card for a local knit shop in Seattle. Thanks guys you're the best!

It gets even better.
Now staying on the gift theme.
I recieved these two lovely Lorna's Laces and a small individual chocolate/rasberry tart from a really sweet guy. Wow.

Thought I'd add this photo of Una just for kicks. You wouldn't think she'd fit but she does, kind of.

So all this new knitting yarn has inspired me to pull out my Disco socks and finish them so I can start on some new ones. Tough choice either the Missoni or Lorna's Laces. Hmmmm.
Starsky is taking a rest however I hope to finish Ms. Marigold this weekend and pick up Starsky again.

Lovely, all is lovely. The sock yarn, the flowers, the new job, the sweet guy, the cute cat. I'm so happy for you. Glad things are going so well. Wasn't Emily's card just the coolest thing EVER? I insisted that she give you a key that tells you which project each yarn was from. I think she should do them for sale.

Cute kitty and yay for sweet guys! I think it would be a lot of fun to work in a flower shop. You will get to play with so many colors and textures!

I agree with Emily - working in a flower shop will be so colorful! You must tell us if it changes how you knit/make yarn choices...

And I love the knit graffiti (and the idea of sweey guys who gift yarn). :)

I just came across your blog and wanted to say hi! We're both Seattle gals...how neat. My husband and I are from Washington but have only lived here in the city for about 5 weeks now. I hope you're loving it as much as we are! (We lived here when we married 25 years ago)I'll add you to my list of must-reads. Nice to meet you :-)
